Ad Ops Director

As our business grows, we are expanding our ad operations team to accommodate growth in the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the department including inventory management, insertion order tracking, billing, availability forecasting, sell-through reporting and on time trafficking of campaigns and campaign performance management

*

Identify, recommend and oversee implementation of tools and systems that will improve online advertising operations, where relevant

*

Ensure timely and situation appropriate correspondence related to gathering creative, reporting and issue resolutions

*

Liaison with advertisers/agencies to oversee proper implementation of campaigns (ad tags, mitigate reporting discrepancies, pixel placement/tracking, etc.)

*

Document ad operations policies and procedures

*

Constantly monitor and improve customer satisfaction as it relates to the ad implementation process

*

Help draft responses to RFP’s for Strategic clients or big buys

*

Work closely with Technology and Editorial departments to ensure working ad calls on the site; proper page setup to serve all advertising placements on the website

*

Facilitate and maintain ongoing relationships with third party vendors

*

Ensure immediate and direct feedback to sales account executives regarding campaign issues or revisions

*

Attend industry events and participate in IAB forums, AdMonsters and other events/forums around ad operations and new technologies to represent company

*

Strategic planning for future growth, working collaboratively with Sales Management, Marketing and Editorial departments to plan out revenue maximizing ad revenue opportunities

*

Assess overall market for online advertising as well as determine best product offerings for each market segment

*

Create compelling advertising and marketing programs tailored to the needs of clients and prospects

*

Project manage development cycle of new ad opportunities from conception to launch

*

Define technical requirements for new ad products (new rotations, new ad units, new technologies with 3rd party vendors)

*

Define and maintain ad specifications

*

Develop and implement workflow processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of the department
